The Paloma is a perfectly refreshing combination of sweet and tart with, grapefruit, lime, Tequila, simple syrup and a rim of chili-lime salt. It is the perfect beverage for a simple cocktail party, wedding reception, or just relaxing on the beach. It is delicious in a single cocktail, but just as easy to whip up a batch (even though you won’t want to share). A beautiful garnish of a fresh Ruby Red Grapefruit and a jalapeño ring finish it off.

INGREDIENTS:

Paloma

  • 1 grapefruit wedge
  • ¼ cup fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • ¼ cup tequila
  • ¼ cup club soda

Chili Lime Salt Rim

  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 lime, zested

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Mix together Chili Lime Salt Rim ingredients. Set on a plate. Rub half of rim of a highball glass with grapefruit wedge; dip rim of glass in salt.
  2. Mix together water and sugar and heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to come to room temperature, 
  3. Combine grapefruit juice, lime juice, simple syrup, and tequila in shaker. Shake until sugar is dissolved.  Add ice to glass, pour and top off with club soda. Garnish with grapefruit wedge & Jalapeno slice.
