What’s Your Wedding Style?

What’s Your Wedding Style?

What’s your wedding style? No, we’re not talking about your decorations or your dress, but how do you want your day to feel? Is it casual? Is it formal? Or, somewhere in-between? Some brides already know exactly what they want for their big day even before a ring adorned their left hand. But, for many it takes months of planning and looking through options to really decide on what they want for their wedding.

To really narrow in on your style, think about if you were able to only have one snapshot from your day, what would it look like? A beautiful ceremony, a dance floor full of people or an elegant party? What feeling does that give you? This is your starting point. Hold on to that feeling, to help you choose the flowers, food and overall setup of your big day.

Here is a list of just a few wedding styles we have come across! Of course, no two weddings are the same, and there is nothing wrong with combining elements from multiple wedding styles. In fact, we encourage you to create a wedding style that is uniquely YOU!

The Southern-Chic Wedding

Calling all southern brides, or southern-at-heart brides! This wedding style appeals to brides from all over! Imagine it, a beautiful outdoor venue, touches of rustic décor, delicate flowers, cocktails served in mason jars – it really doesn’t get any more beautiful! To sum up this wedding style in one word, cozy! Everyone will feel right at home and like family. After all this day is about uniting two families. And, what better way to serve families than with a buffet full of crowd-pleasing options.

The Black-Tie Wedding

Although “black-tie” generally refers to the dress code, this isn’t all it says about the big day! A black-tie wedding is the most formal and traditional featuring a fancier atmosphere. These weddings are glamorous. There really is just something timeless and breathtaking about photographs from these weddings. Guests are dressed to the nines and it is obvious every detail has been attended too. Passed hors d’oeuvres are perfect for cocktail hour and a plated meal is the way to go for serving guests an elegant dinner.

The Dance-the-Night-Away Wedding

Think of this as a party featuring a wedding! Of course, guests are here to see you both tie the knot, but the reception is really where you two will shine! The atmosphere is fun, the music is loud, and this party is one everyone will remember. Special surprises are planned throughout the evening that may include a sparkler send away, late-night fireworks or maybe a flash mob featuring the wedding party. Interactive food stations are perfect for this wedding style. Your guests can grab small plates of food in between hitting the dance floor. Oh, and a specialty cocktail is always a fun touch!

The Romantic Wedding

Are you a sucker for romance? Well, we certainly are! An outdoor ceremony with twinkling lights and soft music is truly magical. We envision this wedding with lots of special touches that walk guests through your love story. Maybe it features the song you two first danced to or photos from your adventures. A simple, but beautiful buffet will be the perfect touch along with lots of wine options!

The Garden Party Wedding

This is a more casual wedding style. But don’t confuse casual with boring. The garden party wedding style is all about the beauty of the couple. We can just see it now, a gorgeous daytime wedding, colorful flowers, lounging furniture and lawn games. Your guests adorned in Seersucker suits and sundresses with their best hats. This wedding style can be full of unique touches to really highlight who you both are as a couple! Even though it may be a daytime wedding, you will still want to feed your guests. Light hors d’oeuvres are perfect! And, if you choose not to serve alcohol, unique drink stations like an old-fashioned soda bar, bubble tea station or make-your-own mocktail bar are a sweet touch!
